KEVIN KWAN LOUCKS NAMED CEO OF CHAMBER MUSIC AMERICA 

After an extensive national search, the Board of Directors of Chamber Music America (CMA)–the national network of ensemble music professionals–has named Kevin Kwan Loucks as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2021.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Mr. Loucks's 2021/2022 concert season features performances in Charlottesville, Los Angeles, Orange County, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Recently named commissioning partner for the Kronos Quartet’s 50 for the Future project, Chamber Music | OC, an organization co-founded by Mr. Loucks, will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with a concert debut at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Mr. Loucks will also begin his tenure as CEO of Chamber Music America in New York City beginning September 1, 2021, and will host Chamber Music America's National Conference in January 2022.

BIO

Representing a new generation of performing arts executives, Kevin Kwan Loucks has cultivated a distinguished leadership profile founded on artistic excellence, entrepreneurship, and innovative strategic design. As a concert artist, Mr. Loucks has earned ovations from Weill Recital Hall and Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, to Prösels Castle in Italy, the Kennedy Center, Kumho Art Hall and Seoul Arts Center in South Korea, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, and Prague’s Lichtenstein Palace. 

TRIO CELESTE

Hailed as “a first-class ensemble” (Orange County Register), “unfailingly stylish” (The Strad), “technically dazzling” (Long Beach Gazette), “flawless” (New York Concert Review) and “the epitome of what chamber musicians should be” (Palm Beach Daily News), Trio Céleste has firmly established itself as one of the most dynamic chamber music ensembles on the classical music scene today. Mr. Loucks serves as the ensemble's pianist alongside Ross Gasworth, cello, and his wife Iryna Krechkovsky, violin. 

 

Recent highlights include recitals at the Chicago Cultural Center, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, New York’s Carnegie Hall, Seoul Art Center in South Korea, and the world premiere of Paul Dooley’s Concerto Grosso for Piano Trio and Strings co-commissioned by Trio Céleste and Chamber Music | OC.

Hailed by the LA Times for "keeping classical music going" during the COVID-19 pandemic, Chamber Music | OC was born out of a desire to share the joys of chamber music with the entire Orange County community. The organization is proud to announce its newest and most exciting acquisition to date: a 4,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art commercial facility that houses all of CMOC's administrative, artistic, and educational operations. Thoughtfully designed by KK Design Concepts, and Pro Audio L.A., CMOC HQ boasts an elegant performance space, recording studio, sound-proof studios, administrative offices, a large common area, and kitchenette.
